My lavender started to wilt after being transplanted, what should i do?

did you water it thoroughly when you transplanted it?the reason I ask is many people don't they think that it isn't necessary it is this is done to remove the air from around the roots not because they need the water the rain unless it very heavy won't do this and it needs doing immediately upon transplanting.
