Do you agree that dolls and action figures should be avoided because they reinforce gender stereotypes?

I don't want my daughter (if i have one) to play with dolls and emulate the ridiculous stereotypes and think appearance is the most important thing or my son(hypothetical) to venerate useless violence and testosterone driven stupidity,
